How designing a custom glaze works
Start with the color you actually want, not the closest thing on a shelf. Choose a color, a firing temperature, and a finish, and Ware formulates a ceramic glaze to match — drawing on a library of glazes we have mixed and fired ourselves, so what you order is grounded in real fired results rather than an untested recipe.
Every glaze is made to order for your cone and your clay body. You do not need to know glaze chemistry, weigh out raw materials, or keep a test kiln running to get a color that is yours.
